BIOLUMINESCENCE
The project Bioluminescence aimed to address the issue of safety and comfort during social outings. While going out is a common activity for people in their late teens, not everyone feels safe or comfortable being alone.
To tackle this, masks were designed to help users locate and send discreet messages to someone they trust, using a personalized light language. The light signals are subtle enough to appear as part of the fun to others, including those causing discomfort, while a trusted friend can recognize the signal and provide help without drawing unwanted attention. Inspired by bioluminescent sea creatures, the masks are not only functional but also stylish and wearable.
My primary focus of the project was on programming and ensuring the seamless functionality of the signal transmission between the masks.
